Yoplait Yogurt: 100 kcals
Medifast Soup: 110 kcals
Orange: 85 kcals
Two homemade Burritos: 690 kcals
Dr. Pepper: 130 kcals
Total: 1,115 kcals
Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve put together a new post. I know that is no way to build a website but since we are on the topic, yes Knowyourkcals.com is still being put together. There is just so much information that needs to be added that it has taken way longer than I ever thought it would. However, it’s still a work in progress and I’m hoping to have the finished product ready by July (realistically).
Since my last post in late August I have lost some weight. I’m hovering around the 205 lb. mark but ultimately would still like to be in the 190-195 range. I’ve also still been eating fast food and restaurant food but I’ve increased my exercise and continued to watch carefully what I choose at said fast food and restaurant establishments. After all the whole goal of the Knowyourkcals.com website is to let people know that it is still possible to be heathly and lose weight while taking the occasional trip to your favorite fast food or upscale restaurant.
That’s it for now I’ll talk to you guys soon.

I just wanted to send out an update that we are in the processing of finishing the website and revamping the blog with a new look. I’ll make sure I send out a mass email when we are finished. Thanks again for your continued patience.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I’ve been working hard to finish the website which will hopefully be done in the next few weeks. I have so much data to enter into the site that it is taking a lot longer than I had originally planned. Working full-time isn’t speeding up the process either. But it will all be worth it once it’s complete. On the site, I have a launch date of today, needless to say that will not happen. So before I promise another date I will just say the blog will continue to be updated daily and hopefully I’ll have the site ready by the end of the summer.
Week 3 Weight: 221 lbs.
To start this week I didn’t lose anything but I was on a fishing trip over the weekend so eating BBQ and snacks without much exercise probably ruined most of the weight loss that I had during the work week. This week will be much better.

FiberOne Bar: 140 kcals
Wolfgang Puck Chicken & Dumpling Soup: 440 kcals
Salad w/ Thousand Island: 310 kcals
Godfather’s Taco Pizza (3): 1,080 kcals
Salad w/ Newman’s Own Fat Free Sesame: 50 kcals
Sugar Free Rockstar: 20 kcals
Total: 2,040 calories
I barely broke the 2,000 calorie barrier today, which I must say is not that bad. I went to Godfather’s for lunch since I was out on the road and tried to stay relatively healthy. Too bad I didn’t check out http://www.knowyourkcals.com before I left or I would have realized that the Taco Pizza is 360 kcals per slice. Yikes. But I’m happy with barely going over 2,000 and I wasn’t hungry at all. In fact, I felt a little too full. I also ran a mile today and made sure that I did plenty of extra walking. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the day.
Since I took a quick look back at my recent posts I wanted to give you readers out there some quick tips since the site is not quite up yet. The following is a list of fast food restaurants that I visit frequently and the healthiest choice at each of these places. Keep in mind that I say healthy only in regards to calories.
1. Taco Bell: Fresco Taco: 150 kcals
2. McDonalds: Hamburger: 250 kcals or Chicken Nuggets (4): 190 kcals
3. Subway: 6″ Turkey w/ no Cheese: 290 kcals
So if your out and about and you feel like some good fast food (i.e. Taco Bell, McDonalds or Subway) try one or two of these, and feel great.
